Antalya is on the coast of Southwestern Turkey. Through the centuries the city had a changefull history. It
was successively occupied by Romans, Byzantines and Seldschuks.
„Attaleia“ was founded in 158 b.c by King Attalos II of Pergamon, about eight years later the city wall was
built. The ruins of that wall can still be seen in some places. In 25 b.c. Attaleia became the capital of the
roman province Pamphylia and had a time of prosperity.
Antalya, „the pearl of the turkish riviera“, today is the capital city of the province Antalya. The city has 2,04
million habitants and its own airport (airport code AYT). It is the center of a fast growing touristic region.
The towns landmark is the "grooved minaret" of the Yivli-Minare-Mosque above the cliff line.
The unique location of the town between the mediterranean sea and the taurus mountains offers a lot of
different touristic activities. Such as Jeep safari, diving, sailing, motorbiking, hiking, paragliding, visiting a

about 100 m from the hotel, the pebbly beach - Konyaalti Plaj - in a distance of 5 km and the sandy Lara
